The issuance of the Palladio (PAL) token uses a smart contract, is deployed on the Ethereum Virtual Machine and conforms to the ERC20 standard. 50,000,000 tokens are issued. Tokens are allocated as follows:
-30% sold in the original crowd sale
-40% retained by the Palladio for business operations, research and development
-10% reserved for emergency cash flow
-20% reserved for new employees, potential outside investors
Palladio looks to collect the ETH equivalent of CDN$ 2.5 million (soft cap). This allows Palladio to launch its platform and, for marketing purposes, to ensure the prerequisite number of users is on the platform. A dedicated sales team is required to promote and support the use of the platform in nearly 18000 licensed architecture offices throughout Canada. The soft cap is set in order to help with distribution, and set a goal for the company to achieve. The target price for each PAL token is CDN$ 0.56.
The actual price in ETH will be set by the board of Palladio no more than 6 days before the sale is set to commence. PAL tokens will be available for transfer two weeks (14 days) after the end of the original crowd sale. 30% of the fixed number of tokens (50,000,000) is sold during the original crowd sale. Depending on market forces the supply and demand will vary. Tokens are required in order for Palladio’s smart contracts to operate.
As more projects and architects use the Palladio platform, the demand for PAL tokens on the market goes up. These market forces, just like on any exchange, help to increase the value of the PAL token in cryptocurrency exchanges. 40% of the tokens are kept by principal partners in order to compensate them for their work.
The directors have agreed that no tokens will be put to market without the consent of the other partners. This approach is twofold; Palladio wishes to control the liquidity and supply of the PAL token. A market flooded with tokens would have adverse impacts on the value of the token. This would also skew the value of completed projects. Another reason for this approach is the fact that directors need to limit the possibility of an outside source buying up large segments of the PAL token supply,
